OBJECTIVE:
The Highland Civic Woman’s Club is a service organization
comprised of single, married, working, and stay-at-home women of varying
ages. We promote a common
interest among our members in the civic and educational welfare of this
community.
MEETINGS:
Meetings are held on the first Thursday of the month, September
through May, at the Faith Countryside Nutrition Center at 7:30 p.m.
MEMBERSHIP:
Annual dues are
$35.00 payable to HCWC. No
person shall attend as a guest more than twice a year without becoming a
member.
EXECUTIVE
BOARD:
Members of the Executive Board include the Chairman of the Board,
President, Vice President, Treasurer, Corresponding Secretary, and
Recording Secretary.
BOARD
OF DIRECTORS:
The Department Heads and Executive Board serve as the Board of
Directors. When necessary,
Board meetings are called to discuss special issues or policies present
to the membership. These are
only recommendations to the member-ship, the final decision rest with
the members.
DEPARTMENT
HEADS:
Each Department Head (Art, Conservation, Citizenship/Veteran
Affairs, Education, Home Life, Health, International
Affairs/Legislation, Crime Prevention/Safety, Membership/Publicity)
presents periodic reports to the membership in their areas. This enables
the clubwoman to become well-versed in many areas.
